Spring is in the air...and the stables are alive with excitement!

There are stampedes of various equines growing up, under the shade of the Dreaming Tree! I just got back from a trip to visit some other stables, looking for some new blood to enhance my bloodlines.

My top stallion Solus has been warming up, under the spring sun, preparing for the busy breeding season. Rich feed, and lush new shoots of grass, he has been browsing on....makes him randy and anxious to cover mares.

Scythe has been bred with my premier Brood mare Luna, And we have our first filly, born early this morning! Both Scythe and Luna are Spectrals, so I am happy that they have produced another spectral foal. I was worried that the breeding wouldn't be successful. I am keeping a watchful vigil these next few days just to make sure everything will go all right.

It is still too early to tell how this little filly will turn out, but she is already a fighter! (She stood up almost immediately!) The traits of Scythe are already apparent. She has four lumps on her forehead, plate buds on her shoulders, and along her tail. Also it looks to me that she may have the beginnings of spikes on her little hooves! She seems very pinkish right now, and sometimes theses spectrals' colorings and coats take time to develop.

I acquired another stallion to use in our breedings! He is the first Appy-Paint stud for my Fantasy Horse sector. He is quite firey in temperment, but not un-manageable. He is big too! Definitely a Draft type. His name is Scramblejak, and his coloring is unusual. I'll bet he will produce colorful future paint offspring.
